Lord Mantis
Biography
Although better known for its
blues/jazz scene flourishing in the 1920s, Illinois is also the region that
attended the birth of Lord Mantis . The chicagoan formation,
originally built in 2005 to pay humble homage to their idols ( Meshuggah,
Mastodon , Helmet , or Ministry ) is still active at the moment, despite
some changes to the line-up.
After the release of a first EP,
of the assembly of their nascent experiences, Lord Mantis begins to
Be noticed and then start the first tours across the country.
Today, the musicians have two EPs and three albums on their charts.
Their music is characterized by a mix of Sludge and Black Metal
Lo-Fi, gracefully accompanied by occult lyrics on heavy themes like
experiences of mind control or sexual deviance.
