Biography

1995, Praha in the Czech Republic, Lvmen was born around Petr Proft (Chant / Claviers), Robert Taschner (Battery), Roman Hulín (Basse), Tomis (Guitare), Mirda (Guitare) and Vladimír Svoboda (Guitare / Chant). In 1998, the Czechs of Lvmen with the arrival of Vlastimil Schrottenbaum (Guitare / Bass) discreetly released a first eponymous record via Day After Records. This first step is one of the important starting points of a post-Neurosis scene including emotional and melancholic tips to their music. Two years later, Raison d'Être confirms all the talent of the European septior, but Vlastimil does not remain in the band. It takes six years for the combo to give birth to a successor named Mondo. The latter further accentuates their unusual personality placing them well beyond the multiple clones that try to snake on the same paths of the Post-Hardcore. The same year released an An Anthology Of Previously Released Songs, which, as its name suggests, brings together the remastered tracks of the eponymous album and Raison d'être. Tomis left the band during this time, leaving Lvmen to five musicians for Heron's compositions, which appeared in 2008, still via Day After Records. Vladimír died in April 2011 and Lvmen entered a period of hiatus of several years. We learn then that Lvmen returns, still composed of the four former companions, but with two new forces to support them: František Klimt (Basse) and Tyson Cosby (Guitars / Bass). At six, they compose Mitgefangen Mitgehangen, released in June 2017. Two months later, the guitarist from the start Mirda also died. The band still continues its adventures with a new guitarist, Libor Palucha, Tyson having left the formation.
