Lyndal Control
Biography
Formation of Salt Lake City, formed in 1997 around Chris Bowers, David Taylor and Andrew Jorgenson, Lyndal Control recorded his first demo that year. Jake De Politte joined the group instead of David and things accelerated. New songs were written and a first split with Maya Shore (Emo Hardcore, USA) was created in 1998. A few months later, LC recorded a first album and embarked on an American tour alongside SLC's The Power of Means. In 1999, four new titles were recorded in order to release them in ep but LC did not find a label to release them. Not emo enough for some, not punk enough for others, the trio of SLC envisages a time of self-prod release but abandons the task. "Topaz Mountain" will still be on the compilation "The Erudition Project" in 2000. This year, Jake leaves the band, replaced by Mike Schneider but the changes in life precipitate the end of LC.
