Mad Caddies
Biography
Around '97, the band is still known in Santa Barbara as Ivy League. Marked by Fat Mike (NOFX /Fat Wreck Chords), the band signs on Honest Don's. Californians looking for a band name with the word "Caddies", Fat Mike proposes Mad Caddies and this is the beginning of the septe. Quality Softcore receives a very good reception in '97 and the Caddies pass on Fat Wreck Chords. Offering a crazy ska/punk and borrowing from the dixieland on their first 2 releases, the band then evolves into a more traditional ska/punk or punk rock style. Since '01, the troupe has only developed with one guitarist (Carter having left) and a new drummer (Brian) since August '02. Just One More ('03) marks a more mature evolution for the group.
