Biography

The M&T@L trio was born from the will of bassist Laurent David, a great metal enthusiast, to take his two companions Maxime Zampieri (battery) and Thomas Puybasset (Saxophone). The name of the group means "Maxime and Thomas at Laurent". The result is a Jazz Rock without guitar, but capable of generating impressive energy. Laurent David played, on stage or in studio, with Matthieu Chedid, Yael Naim, Didier Lockwood or Ibrahim Maalouf. Maxime Zampieri, member of Magic Malik Orchestra, also played with Sixun, Steve Coleman, Ibrahim Maalouf or Yodelice. Thomas Puybasset, for his part, focused on collaborations with traditional musicians from all over the world, working notably with Gabriel Puentes, Louis Sclavis or Toumani Diabaté. The trio released its first eponymous album in 2014 before returning in 2016 with IK , dedicated to Metallica . In 2017 comes Hurlant. Photo fearduloup
