Manigance
Biography
Manigance was formed in 1995 in the Pau region by François Merle (guitar – ex Killers), Daniel Pouylau (battery), and Didier Delsaux (chant). A group of times in its early days, the band finally composed a few songs and the demo Signe De Vie was released at Brennus Music in 1997. It has some success, allowing Manigance to be signed at NTS. The band knew no producer, guitarist François Merle learned the basics of the profession and self-produced the first real album, which was released in 2002. Ange Ou Démon remains in the traditional Heavy lineage (with always a francophone song) of Signe De Vie , incorporating more technical and even progressive elements. On the other hand, Manigance returns to a style more Heavy, almost Power, at the release of the album D This opus offers the Palois the opportunity to shoot with Adagio and then with Stratovarius, and record in passing Memories... Live. The Shadow And The Light is published in 2006 and marks a certain return to almost Prog compositions, with longer structures. After the release of Récidive in 2011, drummer Daniel Pouylau left the band and was replaced by Patrick Soria (an ex Killers, just like guitarist François Merle). Manigance gave birth to Volte-Face in 2014, then Machine Nation in early 2018, and the historic singer Didier Delsaux announced his departure from the band the day after its release. It is replaced by Carine Pinto, who sings in duet with Didier Delsaux on one of the titles of Machine Nation.
