Mantra
Biography
Born in 2009, Mantra evolves at the intersections of various influences, and offers rich music with sharp rhythms, powerful riffs and enchanting atmospheres. With groups such as Gojira , Mastodon , Meshuggah or Tool , the four Rennes invite you to enter their atypical universe, a subtle mixture of powerful emotions, which you are not ready to forget.
The band composed by Gabriel Junod (Batterie), Simon Saint-Georges (Guitares / Chant), Pierre Junod (Chant) and Matthieu Monnier (Basse) released a first demo in 2009 (Let The Light Be) and then Tribal Warning in 2010 and a first EP in 2012, bringing together some tracks from these first demos. The band finally signed on the label Finistarian Dead End ( Bagheera , The Veil ) to release its first album entitled Into The Light . After a change of bassist and the arrival of Thomas Courtin, Mantra composes a second opus, Laniakea , articulated around prehistory. This one comes out at the end of 2016.
