Mar De Grises

Mar De Grises formed in Santiago in 2000 due to the meeting between several activists from the local underground scene, some playing together in different bands (Mourners Lament , Aurahiemis , Masaya ), namely: Alejandro A. (battery), Juan E. (song, keyboards), Rodrigo G. (bass) and Sergio A.&Rodrigo M. (guitars). A self-produced demo was released in 2002 and allowed the band to win a deal at Firebox Records, a little to the general surprise. But the most surprising is coming, since the first album of the band, The Tatterdemalion Express , released in 2004, is considered the Doom album of the year by the entire world press, and more generally as one of the best albums of Doom Death melodic ever composed. The time to digest such a success took Mar De Grises four years to record a new opus, which was released in 2008 under the title Draining The Waterheart and which again met a huge success. In 2010, the band released its third album, entitled Streams Inwards . He follows closely the release of an EP in 2009, First River Regards , as well as a signature at Season Of Mist. The press release falls in July 2013: by mutual agreement, the members of the group decide to end Mar De Grises by declaring that they have arrived at the end of a cycle.
