Marko Hietala

Marko Tapani Hietala is a Finnish singer and bassist mainly known for his position as bassist and vocalist in the symphonic metal band Nightwish , until 2021. He is also a singer for Tarot and Northern Kings. After his separation from Nightwish, Marko Hietala took the opportunity to focus on his projects with Northern Kings, joining the band for a few scenes, after which he focused on his solo career. After the release of Pyre of the Black Heart in 2020, Finnish singer Roses from the Deep released in 2025. In 2024, his reunion with Tarja Turunen on stage, notably to perform The Phantom of the Opera, toured the specialized media. The result of a collaboration between these two friends was then born since in addition to a single on which Tarja lends his voice, Marko Hietala shares with the poster of a large European tour since autumn 2024.
