Maruta

Maruta is a group of Grindcore from Miami founded in 2005 by Mitchell Luna (Chant) and Jeff Stevenson (Guitare) and Nick Augusto (Battery). Jeff Stevenson was soon replaced by Eduardo Borja in 2006 and after two demos in 2005 and 2008, Maruta released his first opus, In Narcosis, at Willowtip. With an approach combining Death Metal, Grindcore or Doom Metal or Power-Violence, Maruta makes a name in the Grindcore scene. In 2010, Danny Morris arrived as drummer while Mauro Cordoba became the bass player of the band. The quartet then worked on Forward Into Regression, which they released in early 2011. Maruta splits a few months later, but meets in 2012.
