Biography

Medications is a group formed around Devin Ocampo and Chad Molter. The two friends and mutli-instrumentalists, playing music together since high school in Los Angeles, always collaborate more than 18 years after their debut. Devin left for Washington DC in 1996 to join Smart Went Crazy at the time of their second and last album, Con art. Chad soon joined him to form the cults Faraquet accompanied by guitarist Jeff Boswell. The latter, by releasing only a few singles, an EP split with Arkaso and an album entitled T he View From This Tower, shaped the appearance of the math-rock current, before splicing in 2000. It did not take much time for the inseparable duo to reform a project, entitled Medications . Accompanied by drummer Andy Becker, they took a little less than a year to draw up their first EP, obviously released at Dischord. Then Your Favorite People All In One Place , their first album released in June 2005, will be followed by intense tours in the USA and Europe and will see the end of their collaboration with Andy Becker. The band is then in stand by for long months, before returning to life in 2010 via a new album entitled Completely Removed , this time accompanied by drummer Mark Cisneros. Medications therefore remains one of the last groups of Diskord to give some news regularly.
