Biography

Megaherz is a German band affiliated with Neue Deutsche Härte. Founded in 1993 by singer Alexx Wesselsky, he first performed in an alternative metal register and released in 1995 a first self-produced album, Herzwerk , before all the musicians were replaced. Christian "X-Ti" Bystrom took up the position of guitarist and Wenz Weniger the position of bassist; Both will remain the only permanent members. The style of the training is therefore more oriented towards Metal Indus, particularly with the integration of the keyboardist Noel Pix in 1997. Wer Bist Du? , which contains re-records by Herzwerk , is generally considered the first official album. Following Kopfschuss in 1998, Himmelfahrt in 2000 and Herzwerk II in 2002, Wesselsky decided to leave the band for musical differences; In 2003, he founded Eisbrecher with Noel Pix. Mathias "Jablonski" Elsholz was recruited as a new singer and participated in the recording of 5 before leaving in 2005. It took until 2007 for a replacement to be found with Alexander "Lex" Wohnhaas, who made his studio debut on Heuchler in 2008. The following year the compilation Totgesagte Leben Länger was released, while the seventh album, Götterdämmerung , was released only in 2012. Megaherz then signed a contract with the Napalm Records label, on which Zombieland came out in 2014, the EP Erdwärts in 2015, and finally Komet in 2018.
