A Swedish-born Quartet, Melpo Mene is above all the solo project of her singer, Erik M., born in 1982 in Stockholm. Borrowing his name to Greek mythology, and more precisely to one of the nine muses, daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, that is Melpomène: a muse of singing, musical harmony and tragedy. An adventure that starts in June 2004 with the release of a first EP 4 tracks, Don't Save Me , released by Imperial Recordings ( Jose Gonzales , Promise And The Monster ,...). The group released 7" and EP the following months before publishing, in November of the same year, its very first long-lasting effort: Holes (Distribution France - Differ-Ant ). This one benefits from the production and mixing work of Andreas Dahlbäck ( Motorhomes , Eskju Divine , Eskobar ,...). June 2005 saw the release of a third EP, Jedi, before the pochaine release of a second album: Bring The Lions Out.
