Mercyless
Biography
Formed in 1987 in Mulhouse, Mercy is considered today in Europe as one of the mythical and forerunner bands of the French Death Metal scene. In 1992, their first album, Abstract Offers , was released by the famous Colin Richardson. Century Media will release the second opus Coloured Funeral the following year. An album marked by more intense compositions and careful texts. Despite more timid criticism from the media, Mercyless continues two European tours: the first with Death and the second with Morgoth, Unleashed, Tiamat and Samael. In 1995, the band added a keyboard to its line-up and took a new musical turn. The pieces are cold, heavy and dark and decides to really take the time to compose. Despite their appearances on some compilations, it will take two years until the fabulous C.O.L.D. At the end of 2000, after a new line-up change, the group was placed in stand-by.
In 2011 Mercyless returns and leaves on tour. In April 2013, the band launched its fifth studio album Unholy Black Splendor, which will be released at the end of 2013. The band chose Dan Swanö and his Unisound Studio in Sweden for mix and mastering. The combo will return to its favourite style, a 90's Death Metal. At the end of 2015, the band followed the dates in France and Germany, an album is also in preparation, whose release is expected for 2016.
