Biography

Metz is a Noise Punk trio formed in Toronto in 2008 by Alex Edking (Guitare), Christ Slorach (Chant / Bass) and Hayden Menzies (Battery). A handful of singles released between 2009 and 2012, just before their first eponymous album appeared at Sub Pop, which made a big noise everywhere, inspired by Shellac, The Jesus Lizard or Pixies. For three years, Metz performed alongside Mission Of Burma , Death From Above 1979 , Mudhoney , Oneida and Nomansno among others.After staying on the road for three years, the band announced a second album, II , scheduled for 2015, still at Sub Pop.
