Mgla
Biography
Mgla , which means fog in Polish (and is pronounced "mmgwaah"), is originally from Krakow and starts as a parallel project in Kriegsmaschine for Darkside (Batterie) and M. (Guitare / Chant / Bass). But it was in 2005 that Black Metal's band started with a split alongside Deathspell Omega, Stabat Mater, Musta Surma, Clandestine Blaze and Exordium as well as two eps: Presence and Mdłości. Darkside replaced Daren on drums to release Further Down The Nest , which prefigures their first album, Groza , released in 2008 at Northern Heritage Records. Mgla deals with theistic satanism and advocates self-destruction through a Black Metal that can be brought closer to groups like Aosoth or Deathspell Omega. In 2012, a second offering named With Hearts Towards None still appeared on the same label. In three years, the ascent of the group has been staggering, and the Polish have been making more and more talk about them until the release of Exercises In Futility in 2015, which has been giving concrete expression to the quality of their work for several years.
