Microfilm
Biography
In 2003, Mathieu, Yohan, Cyril, Gregory and Guillaume met to give birth to the Microfilm project. Through this, they offer the listener a musical and sound journey, the result of a recycling of assumed, affirmed and integrated influences in instrumental music. The band presents itself as a director of pieces with apparent linearity punctuated with excerpts from film dialogues, thus marking its identity with singularity. It is in concert that the project takes on its true dimension thanks to animated video projections, which enrich live interpretation. In order not to fall into the cinema-concert and to preserve the beautiful part of the game of musicians on stage, the images are controlled directly by the musicians, at the rhythm of the compositions, thanks to pedals of their conception. The first album A journey to the 75th was released in 2004 and confirms the talent and originality of the combo. Stereodrama , title of the last album released in 2007, is the production of the most accomplished band, so far, because thought in its totality. Sitting comfortably in his chair, and equipped with a pair of 3D glasses provided in the album, the listener can immerse completely in the plastic and musical relief of the compositions. At the end of 2009, The Bay Of Future Passed was released on Head Records and became a little more the concept of Microfilm.
