Misanthrope

Misanthrope is a French metal band formed in 1989. Their first album, Variation On Inductive Theories , will be released at Holy Records in 1993 and will be followed by a triple mini CD Miracles : Totem Taboo in 1994. These two creations form the basis of a musical style between Doom, Death and Heavy. In 1995 it was 1666.. Theatre Bizarre that came out. After numerous concerts in France, Holland, Switzerland and Germany, Misanthrope left the French soil to record Visionnaire in 1997, at the Fredman studio (Göteborg-Sweden), with Fredrik Nordström ( Arch Enemy , Dark Tranquility , In Flames ). In 1998 Misanthrope recorded Humiliations Libertines, then entered the "Temple of Humiliation Tour" alongside Septic Flesh and Natron. In May 1999, Misanthropus celebrates its 10th anniversary and releases a triple CD collector limited to 1793 copies, Collection of Ecueils : Works Forbidden . Also in 1999 Misanthropist followed the concerts and festivals with among others the Agora festival alongside Dimmu Borgir , Gamma Ray and Angra , they will be in the first part at the Elysée Montmartre de Cradle of Filth in December of the same year. In 2000 Immortel came out in the bins, this fifth opus was once again produced at the Fredman studio. The album will be released in four versions: French/European, Russian, Brazilian and Japanese. The tour "Sur les chemins des Immortels" begins in November 2001 and ends in May 2002. Meanwhile, S.A.S. de l'Argiliere (chant) and Jean-Jacques Moreac (bass) offered a break and recorded the first album, The Monotonous moment of a Monologist , of their formation of Dark Doom Avant-Gardiste Argile which was released in March 2002. Gaël Féret (beater) and Anthony Scemama (guitar) join the band and Misanthrope attacks the composition and writing work of Sadistic Sex Daemon, which will be the sixth album of the band. Mainly composed and entirely produced by bassist Jean-Jacques Moreac, the album will require more than six months of studio work. In January 2003 the band chose to change its habits, it was Anssi Kippo ( Children Of Bodom , Sinergy and To Die For ) who mixed the work. The band played a series of concerts between 2003 and 2004. In May 2004, Misanthrope celebrates its 15th anniversary and creates for the occasion a set, Misanthro-Thérapie , including an unedited CD, a CD of Live tracks and recaptures, a DVD of the Sadistic Sex Daemon tour with interview and a DVD with multiple bonuses retracing the 15 years of the band's career. Since 2000 the line-up (Jean-Jacques Moreac, Gaël Féret, Anthony Scemama and S.A.S. de l'Argilier) has been stable. Metal Hurlant released on September 12, 2005, entirely produced by Jean-Jacques Moreac. The concerts begin as soon as the album is released and the band accumulates dates in France, Spain, Poland, Slovakia. The successor of Métal Hurlant , IrremeDIABLE , is composed between 2006 and 2007, recorded and mixed this time in Paris at Studios Davout and Manoir Des Déportés in 2007. Built as a concept album and entirely sung in French, Misanthrope reveals his vision of the life and work of the cursed poet Charles Baudelaire. This opus has required a great deal of effort from the group, both in composition and in recording and production, it is logical that Misanthropus takes a step back before returning to early 2013 with his latest work: Aenigma Mystica . Misanthropist has always paid a great deal of attention to his texts, these are composed by S.A.S of the Argilière, a great lover of poetry and literature in the broad sense. The choice to express in French only appeared around 2002 with the album Sadistic Sex Daemon . For the little story, the singer of Misanthrope is other than the boss of the label Holy Records, it is this same label that released the first Septic Flesh, Orphaned Land and Trepalium. They also collaborated with SUP, Garwall, Nightfall, Elend, Rajna, Chaostar. Today Holy Records is associated with EMP and focuses mainly on selling merchandising.
