Mnemic
Biography
Mnemic , an acronym for Mainly Neurotic Energy Modifying Instant Creation comes from Aalborg in Denmark and starts playing a modern Metal between Metalcore, Metal-Indus and Thrash-Metal. The band began with Mark Bai (Chant), Mikkel Larsen (Basse), Brian Rasmussen (Battery), Rune Stigart (Guitare) and Mircea Gabriel Eftemie (Guitare, Keyboard). After two demos and having changed singer to Michael Bøgballe, Mnemic signed very quickly at the Nulcear Blast Records team which allowed them to have a good distribution and make them talk widely with their first record in 2003: Mechanical Spin Phenomena. At the crossroads of groups like, Crossbreed, Fear Factory or Strapping Young Lad, the band makes sensation and turns alongside Darkane, Death Angel and Machine Head. As bass player Mikkel Larsen is replaced by Tomas Koefoed, Mnemic does not wait long to return to the studio route and deliver a second opus in 2004, entitled The Audio Injected Soul, which again is very much appreciated. Following this album, the band is especially noticed by its changes of singers: Guillaume Bideau (ex- Scarve) finally took the bet by taking over from Tony Jelencovich who had replaced Michael Bogballe himself. Once the line-up has stabilized, the group returns in 2007 with Passenger which marks an evolution in Mnemic's style and then comes to turn with Deftones, Metallica or Within Temptation. Their latest album, Sons Of The System , is still released in early 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records.
