Moneen
Biography
Moneen. emerged from Toronto (Canada) in late spring 1999 thanks to Kenny Bridges (Guitare / Chant), Chris Hughes (Guitare / Chant), Peter Krpan (Battery) and Mark Bower (Basse). The band is known in the region for its stage performances in particular, which is worth integrating the creation of the Canadian labels, Smallman Records. After Mark's departure, Chris Slorach's short come, Erik Hughes finally re-employs four strings, after the release of the first ep Smaller Chairs For Early 1900s and the first album The Theory Of Harmonial Value. Early 2003, Smallman and Moneen. now join the biggest Emo label on stage: Vagrant ( Dashboard Confessional , The Get Up Kids ), which releases their next opus Are We Really Happy With Who We Are Right Now in the United States but also in Europe. A year later, in mid-2004, Canadians chained prestigious tours and worked on new songs that will be late. 2005 finally marks the return of the quartet, with a split first, together with their compatriots of Alexisonfire, the production of a documentary The Start To This May Be The End To Another, and the announcement of the release for April 11, 2006, of their third effort: The Red Tree. The Canadians changed drummers in 2008 with the arrival of Steve Nunnaro, Peter having left to compose his solo project, One Grand Canyon, and then .Moneen. back in 2009 with The World I Want To Leave Behind on Dine Alone Records and Vagrant. Finally, Peter Krpan recovered his post behind the drums in 2010 for a tour with Alexisonfire in 2012. The band's activity was put on hold the following years since Chris, Erik and Peter founded a new band, Seas, and Kenny played in Cunter.
