Mongrel
Biography
Mongrel made his debut in Karlsfed, near Munich, in 1998. His first demo came into being the following year, but it was not until 2001 that the first album Sons Of Decreasing Evolution they recorded themselves at Fast Forward Studios and which will be published by the local label Eisbaer Records They will then be present on about twenty compilations (Eastpaks Pro Punker Vol. 3 , Wolverine Records' Chartbuster Vol. 5 ...) and on the soundtrack of some surfing, snowboarding and BMX videos. In 2003 they released an EP 7 self-produced titles originally intended to promote the group. It works pretty well since they slide on posters with names such as Pennywise, Anti-Flag, ZSK, Down By Law, Venerea ... all over Europe and also in California. They also meet there Code 4-15 and at the same time make the awareness of the guys of Fond Of Life Records... 2 meetings that will naturally lead to the publication of a CD split between the two groups by the German label. However, the EP does not contain a new title and takes 4 tracks from their previous EP.
Back home, they play alongside Good Riddance , The Distillers , Pipedown , The Lawrence Arms , The Sainte Catherines etc. and build a reputation for live performance after more than 150 performances. In 2006, with lots of composition in mind and on paper, they returned to Fast Forward Studios and laid Speak Resistance co-produced by Fonds Of Life , Long Beach Records Europe , and CR Japan in Japan. The cake is available at the end of 2006 and in the United Kingdom via Plastic Head on 29 January. Also in January, they announced that they were looking for a guitarist and that they planned to record later this year.
