Biography

Mord'A'Stigmata was formed in 2004 in Bochnia, Poland by Static, guitarist and principal composer. He is surrounded by Sickill (Basse), Sadist (Guitare), Doom L. Voxmord Stigmator V'dnerer (Chant) and Ragnar (Battery) with whom he released three demos in 2005 and 2006 with songs that will be compiled on Diagonal Dividing Humanity in 2006. But all the musicians left Static in 2007 who found himself alone in manipulating his project. It is however under this line-up with Sickhill on keyboards and A. Arkham on bass and singing that Mord'A'Stigmata released his first album, Überrealistic , at the end of 2008 at Lilith Productions. Static then surrounded himself with Ion (Basse / Chant), Michał Kowal (Battery) and Silencer (Guitare / Chant) for the continuation of the project and with whom they released their second album, Antimatter via Sun&Moon Records. Golem XIV replaced Silencer on guitar in 2013 and the Polish band signed at Pagan Records and released Ansia the same year. Our Hearts Slow Down in 2015 and Hope in 2017. Ygg replaces Michał Kowal behind the drums and this is how they compose Dreams Of Quiet Places then Like Ants And Snakes in 2022. Since their debut in the Black Metal underground scene, Mord'A'Stigmata has been able to detach itself from stylistic carcans by incorporating multiple influences, from Post Metal to Indus through Coldwave and pushing the boundaries of their music ever further.
