Biography

Mike Portnoy (ex Dream Theater, Transatlantic, The Winery Dogs ...) and Randy George (Ajalon ) are respectively drummer and bassist of most of Neal Morse's solo albums. Instead of using the frontman's name to release the cover albums, the three competitors created an annexation, judiciously named Morse Portnoy George. Their first release, Cover To Cover (2006), contains thirteen tracks that the musicians recorded during the studio sessions of the albums Testimony (2003), One (2004), and Neal Morse (2005). Among these thirteen pieces are U2 , David Bowie , Paul McCartney or a cover of The Who . Cover 2 Cover , released in 2012, brings together a dozen titles from the recording sessions of Lifeline (2008) and Momentum (2012), and includes recaptures of Bee Gees , King Crimson , The Police , or a three-track medley of Neil Young .
