Mothlite
Biography
Mothlite is the "avant-garde" result of the meeting between Daniel O'Sullivan and Antti Uusimaki. The first, guitarist and pianist of formation, comes from London and is mainly known for his participation in Guapo , (signed at Ipecac then Neurot Recordings ) and his live performances with Sunn O))). His association with Steven O'Malley gave birth to an improvised project: Aethenor , whose second album is due to be released this year (Vincent de Roguin, de Shora , is also on the game).
Antti Uusimaki, the other thinking head, is a Helsinki producer who worked with Brian Eno. He brings to the project his vaporous and evanescent tablecloths making Mothlite the hypnotic encounter of classic and hazel one night of mist.
For his first album, The Flax of Reverie , released in 2008, the duo was surrounded by other eclectic musicians, more "classical" in their approach: Sara Hubrich on violin, Gilad Atzmon on clarinet and saxo and Chloe Herington on bassoon. The journey to dreamland can then begin.
