Moving Mountains

Moving Mountains

Country: United States
Formed: 2005
Styles: Emo Indie Rock Post-Rock

Biography

Coming from New York and composed of four members: Gregory Dunn (song, guitar), Nicolas Pizzolato (drums), Mitchell Lee (bass) and Frank Graniero (guitar, singing). Moving Mountains is a kind of musical collision between l'emo, rock and post-rock, based on dazzling compositions and a variation of the most impressive genres. Originally presented as being able to please lovers of The Appleseed Cast, Explosions In The Sky, Brand New or Cursive, the quartet actually far surpasses these so-called resemblances, imposing a clearly atypical sound and paw, which made Deep Elm's warned ears ring at the end of 2007, leading to the release of Pneuma. The ep Foreword in 2008 announces more calm things for the training of Purchase, while they take their listeners counter-foot two years later with Waves reinvigorated by Post-Hardcore influences. A new eponymous album is announced for 2013 at Triple Crown Records.
