Biography

Predestined Örn Elías Guðmundsson? The son of a karaoke star man in Malaysia, Mugison (his stage name) was born in Iceland in 1979. Before leaving his island for London in the early 2000s, this strange troubadour was already quite full: a sailor, a clown for children, a courier and finally a conditioning agent in a fish factory, the final step before taking his guitar and computer.
Lonely Mountain, electro folk album, released in 2003 on Accidental Records. Putting forward his folk side, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and his completely offbeat bidouillations, Mugison recorded, with other musicians (Mugimama and Mugimaster), Mugimama, Is This Monkey Music? in 2006. An album that will reveal it in his country since the same year, he will leave with the Icelandic awards of the best song, the best album, the best artwork and the best performer! Mugimama will sell 8,000 copies in Iceland, a country with only 300,000 inhabitants.
Aspired to open his melodies even more and to continue his collaborations as a group after some participations in original film tapes, Mugison released Mugibooggie in 2007, which confirms the talent of an artist who is increasingly taken away and more rock 'n roll. The album arrived in Europe in 2008.
