Mumakil
Biography
Formed in 2004 on the ashes of Knut , Stumpfucking , Deiceit and Nostromo , Mumakil brings together Djé, Taverne, Thomas and Seb who decide, from the first months of the all-star band, to move towards a massive Grindcore. The Swiss take their name from a creature of the mythology of the Lord of the Rings, the Mumak, a sort of gigantic Elephant that can be found on the cover of Behold The Failure. As early as 2005, a first Demo was unveiled on the net and allowed Mumakil to make a name outside of their origins. The concerts followed, whether in France or Switzerland, until a new studio entry in early 2006 for Customized Warfare, the band's first album. Meanwhile, the combo is contacted by various labels to make a split with Third Degree and Obtuse as well as a reissue of the demo under the name The Stop Which LP . Mid-2006 saw Customized Warfare debunk at Overcome Records, followed by a series of concerts across Europe with Blockheads. The following year, following a concert with Misery Index, the Swiss were contacted to study the possibility of a Split with the Americans, which would take the name of Ruling Class Cancelled. However, it's not all pink because Overcome sinks under the bills and makes the soul mid-year. Not discouraged, Mumakil signs at Caustic Rhythms and composes some compositions for a split with Blockheads. As early as 2008, Relapse contacted the quartet for a contract, whose first production was a split with Inhume, and opened the doors of a studio for the second opus, which would be released in 2009 under the name of Behold The Fairure. As usual, concerts are held in the USA or Europe, with bands like Municipal Waste, Disfear or Entombed.
