Murderdolls
Biography
Founded in 1995 on the ashes of The Rejects, Joey Jordison's former band (Slipknot ) is renamed Murderdolls after the departure of its leader, singer Dizzy Rejects. But it was really in 1999 on the occasion of a tour with Coal Chamber, when Joey met guitarist Tripp Eisen ( Dope , Static-X ), who discovered a common passion for Punk and Glam, that the first songs were composed, dusting old songs on occasion. Murderdolls was finally formed in 2000 with the arrival of Wednesday 13, most of which will come from his former band, Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13, largely influenced by the 80s and horror films. The trio recorded Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls , the first combo album released in 2002 by Roadrunner Records. Tripp Eisen is dedicated to Static-X and is replaced by Acey Slade (Guitare). Eric Griffin (Basse, Chant) and Ben Graves (Battery) are recruited for upcoming tours alongside Papa Roach in particular or sharing the poster of major international festivals such as Big Day Out, Download Festival or Rock Am Ring. In 2003, Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls was re-released with the cover of Billy Idol, White Wedding, and the Let's Fuck bonuses, I Take Drugs, Crash Crash, Welcome To The Strange and I Love To Say Fuck. Joey Jordison and Wednesday 13 were busy with their respective careers, so Murderdolls' last concert took place in Corona, California in January 2004 and the band was paused. Eight years after their first album, Murderdolls reformed in 2010 still under the impetus of Joey and Wednesday 13 . New members are recruited with Roman Surman (Guitare, Chant), Jack Tankersley (Basse) and Racci Shay (Battery), but most of the new album, Women And Children Last is composed by the founder duo. The band then took up the road alongside Guns N' Roses and even went through France for a four-date tour.
