Biography
Jimmi G. Drescher -chant Chris - guitar Pico - bass Nick - drums Murray - guitar
Murphy's Law is one of the last bands stamped N.Y.H.C. 80's to survive today. Formed in 1983 around Jimmy Gestapo, a sobriquet with only the "G", the line-up included Pete Hines (battery), Pete Martinez (bass) and Alex Morris (guitar). Unlike many of his congeners of the time, partying and drinking beer are the main themes of Murphy's Law's favorite. The band's concerts are only a pretext for a frank laugh and Jimmy "G" turns out to be a fire frontman, possessing an innate sense of contact with people. It was from this time that the songs "Quest for Herb" or "Attack of the Killer Beers" date. However, the trend changed slightly after bassist Chuck Valle's violent death in 1994. Indeed, while Jimmy remains the familiar end-in-train, some of his texts are therefore of an unprecedented gravity, such as "Dysfunctional Family", "Don't Bother Me" or "Bitter".
The late 1990s was a tumultuous period for Murphy's Law. The group makes up little and proves unable to stabilize around a typical formation. In 1996 Jimmy, who became the only survivor of the original formation, and Todd Youth (guitar) arrived around 1989, called on Dean Rispler (bass), and Eric Arce (battery), to ensure the recording of Dedicated. But the beautia doesn't last. Youth and Rispler make their trunks and are replaced by Sal Villanueva (bass, ex-Demonspeed) and Richard Bacchus (guitar, ex-D Generation) present on The Party's Over, last album released in 2002. Since then, water has flowed under bridges. Murphy's Law turned into a quintet, renewed most of his training and actively prepared the recording of a new skeud. To make us wait until then, the band is soon planning to release a DVD and a cover album.
