Biography

Active since 1993, Mushroomhead immediately imposes its uniqueness. On stage, the combo impresses with its commando tunes: with their military outfits, masks and makeup, the 8 members of the group convey an intriguing and theatrical image, carved for their dark music.
This band from Cleveland has already released three albums in inde when he signed in 2001 with Universal. Then appeared XX , a compilation of remixed titles from these. (The group evolving masked or grimmed and being composed of almost as many instrumentalists — eight against nine — many see them as a sub- Slipknot Yet, although revealed to Europeans later than their compatriots, the band was born long before.) XX thus allows to penetrate the musical universe of the combo, and to see there a pronounced inclination for industrial metal. And already, atypical compositions punctuating in various repertoires: singing alternately rumbling death and grind, heavy and melodic parts and rap scanning; Gothic ambient keyboards; industrial samples and rhythms. In short, Mushroomhead brews wider than most other neo combos — a genre of which it is a more discreet precursor than the Fear Factory, Deftones, Korn or Faith No More.
At the end of 2003, their 4th album (the first real album for Universal), XIII , which demonstrates the ingenuity and talent of the byte.
