Mutiny On The Bounty
Biography
From the late Actarus , Gansha , Treasure Chest At The End Of The Rainbow and Tiger Fernandez , Mutiny On The Bounty (named after the famous revolt of the crew of the Royal Navy's Bounty, against its commander William Bligh) was born from the meeting of 4 Luxembourg musicians in April 2004. Attracted by the mix of genres (math rock, screamo, progressive rock), virtuoso when it comes to making a guitar speak, MOTB quickly takes the routes of the tours alongside sizes like These Arms Are Snakes, Pelican or Engine Down.
Thanks to the intervention of the label New Romance For Kids , the quartet recorded a split in 2005 with Treasure Chest At The End Of The Rainbow , a band in which Sacha also plays and which he later abandoned to devote himself exclusively to MOTB . With a change of man on the meter, 2007 is a turning point for the band, Pi having replaced Dave at bass.
Two years later, released the band's first real LP, Danger Mouth, while the band was amputated by one of its guitarists. 2012 sees the release of Trials at Redflield Records, an album that will give them good visibility in Europe, all the more so after tours with Russian Circles, Biffy Clyro or And So I Watch You From Afar. In 2015, released the song for a totally instrumental album, Digital Tropics , released on Small Pond Recordings and Deaf Rock Records for France.
