Nervous Nellie
Biography
Henrik Johnson: Guitar/Chant Manne Westerlund: Bass Magnus Johnson: Guitar/Chinese Andy Johansson: Battery
With such names, there is no doubt that the members of Nervous Nellie have Scandinavian origins, and even Swedish ones to be more precise. But in reality, only Andy Johansson, drummer of the band, was born in these countries. Henrik, and his younger brother Magnus Johnson, grew up in Chicago, while bassist Manne Westerlund was born in Chile before being adopted in Sweden. Nervous Nellie's adventure began in 2002, after her singer played for a while in a Minneapolis: The Milk Babies band. The quartet quickly decided to take control of its future and set up the Honkyjonx Records label, on which their first EP: The Peace Pipe will be released. This is followed by tours in Europe, but also in the United States during the 2004 Warped Tour, alongside Bad Religion and other The International Noise Conspiracy. Remarked by producers John Agnello ( Dinosaur Jr , Breeders ) and Steve Fisk ( Nirvana , Screaming Trees ), Nervous Nellie then comes into contact with the independent label Go-Kart Records (Anti-Flag , Ten Foot Pole ) which will sign them in the wake, and will publish their first long-duration album: Don't Think Feel .
