Nightwish
Biography
A Finnish group, Nightwish was born at the corner of the fire, created by Tuomas Holopainen (claviers), Emppu Vuorinen (guitar) and Tarja Turunen (sing) in 1996 the band has now become one of the leading metal bands with a female voice. Initially a simple acoustic music band, Tuomas, Emppu and Jukka (battery), both with a metal past, decided to move towards a heavier sound that according to Tuomas would stick more to the splendid voice of Tarja. Accompanied by Sami (bass), they recorded Angels Falls First, the first album that laid the foundations of Nightwish: a powerful and mastered female voice accompanied by metal all that is male. Nightwish really explodes with Oceanborn, a pure gothic heavy bomb. The original bassist left the band before the recording of Century Child and was replaced by Marco Hietala, who added his voice to the composition. Now Nightwish plays in the class of greats, which is more sold (the Nordic countries are fantastic), on their latest production with Tarja, Once, the singer has somewhat changed her voice, to the great lady of amateurs of the first hour. The group then separated from Tarja, considered too far from the group, and after long months was replaced by Anette Olzon (Alyson Avenue). The band recorded with it Dark Passion Play, which was released in October 2007, the most expensive album ever produced by a Finnish band (the presence of the London Philharmonic Orchestra and a week at the Abbey Road studio helping to "saler" the note), the album became a platinum album on the day of its release in Finland.
