Nomansno is native to Victoria, British Columbia, but is now based in Vancouver. Formed in 1979 by the Wright brothers, the beginnings take the form of a bass/battery duo. The first recordings are compiled on Mama , considered the band's first album. Cantoned until then in a punk rock, morning of new wave 1984, the arrival of guitarist Andy Kerr in 1984 (ex-Infamous Scientists) brings Nomansno a clearly hardcore touch that takes its full scope on the album Wrong , considered the best Canadian album, released by Alternative Tentacles. Cooperation will cease in 2002. After Kerr's departure in 1993, the Wright brothers recorded Why Do They Call Mr. Happy ? as a duo. Not for long because Tom Holliston joined Nomansno a year later. Until 2006 four albums were released. At the same time, the Wright and Holliston brothers also served at the Hanson Brothers, a tribute to the Ramones.
