Norther
Biography
Norther was formed in 1996 in Espoo, Finland. The band immediately took the path of extreme melodic metal and suffered from a perpetual comparison with his Finnish comrade Children Of Bodom. While their styles are getting closer (extreme melodic metal with a neoclassical trend), Norther still stands out by some of its own sounds. Although Children Of Bodom is a little younger, Alexis Laiho and Alexander Kuoppala helped Norther to get a recording contract, but they will never meet the success of their friends. In 2005, drummer Toni Hallio, one of the group's two founders, decided to leave the boat. The band that had then tried a more modern Metal will go completely into it until the departure of its second founding member, guitarist singer Petri Lindroos, who abandons the band to play sword at Ensiferum. Today there are no original members left in the training. Current line-up : Aleksi Sikhonen - Chant Kristian Ranta - Guitar and clear singing Daniel Freyberg - Guitar Jukka Koskinen - Bass Tuomas Planman - Keyboard Heikki "Kermis" Saari - Battery
