Novena

Novena is a kind of super-group, bringing together Dan Thornton (guitar - Abhorrent Decimation (Death), Crimson Throne (Ambiant Black), Defeated Sanity (Brutal Tech Death), ex The HAARP Machine (Deathcore), yes, this man loves a lot of things, Matt Lowe (bass - Slugdge), Cameron Spence (drums - ex A Deeper Dred (Heavy)), Harrison White (ex Bleeding Oath (Prog)), and Ross Jennings (chant - Haken). All this beautiful world from very different backgrounds, Novelna finds itself enriched by a thousand influences. The ensemble sounds like a very protean and progressive Rock / Metal, melodic, still, relatively close to the singer's comfort zone with its main Haken formation. The formation released the EP Secondary Genesis in 2016 (which is 32 minutes for 3 tracks), then recruited in 2017 a second singer to further enrich the psychedelic side of their universe: Gareth Mason by Slice The Cake (Deathcore / Prog / Black / Chelou). It is with this line-up of two vocalists that Novelna returns to studio at the end of 2019, and gives birth to the album Eleventh Hour in March 2020.
