Biography

Formed in the Basque Country in 1997, Numen is a Black-Metal group with traditional folk influences dear to their original land. The words are all in Basque and speak of ancient traditions, legends or mythologies always with a strong animosity towards Christianity. At the end of 1999, the band recorded its first mischief, Haize Sorginduen Intziriak. The ep will be followed quickly by Galdutako Itxaropenaren Eresia in 2001. In 2003, Jarrai Beza Kondairak , which is their new ep, took a more folk-metal turn which was continued the following year with Basoaren Semeak . Currently composed of Jabo (Guitare), Otuto (Basse), Aritz (Chant), Eöl (Clavier / Chant) and Ametsgaizto (Battery), Numen returns to the sources in 2007 to celebrate his ten years of career with an eponymous album.
