Obits

A quartet formed by ex-stars of the indie rock scene, Obits is composed by Rick Froberg (ex Pitchfork , Drive Like Jehu and Hot Snakes ) on guitar and singing, Sohrab Habibion (ex Adsel ) on second guitar, Scott Gursky (ex Shortstack ) on drums and Greg Simpson on bass. Their name is a cynical abbreviation of "d的obituary" ("notice of death"). Formed in 2006, Brooklyn's quartet signs its first album I Blame You (2009) on the label Sub Pop , based on a concert and buzz in the indie environment. The latter is preceded by two singles One cross a piece (2008) and I Can They released a second album in 2011, Moody Standard and Poor, still on the Sub Pop team.
