
Obscurcis Romancia
Biography
Darkcis Romancia is a group of Black Metal Canadian Symphony formed in 1998 in Longueuil. It was composed of Rémi Vallières (Basse), Jean Rufiange (Batterie), Pascal Lechasseur (Claviers), Frédéric Le (Guitare), Stéphane Breton (Guitare) and Sylvain Corbin (Chant). It was in 2001 that the band experimented with its blend of Extreme Metal and Classical Music with a demo called The Reign of the Lord of Perdition. Obscurcis Romancia then toured in 2002 with renowned Canadian bands such as Neuraxis , Unexpected , Augury , Kataklysm and Despised Icon. During the summer of 2002, the band recorded its first eponymous album, which was released the following year at Galy Records. Following a North American tour to promote the album. In 2006, Sylvain Corbin left his companions, but was replaced by Francis Tremblay. Thus, Obscurcis Romancia starts working on new pieces. The composition process is long and ambitious and it was finally in 2012 that their new album, Theatre Of Deception, appeared. This is the culmination of several years of reflection, up to the endist in his approach between the aggression of Black Metal, the melancholy of neo-classical symphonies, and the words inspired by poems of black romanticism.
