Biography

Obsidian Kingdom is a post black metal band formed in 2005 in Barcelona, who define themselves as a very strong band playing very contrasting sounds. A first master's degree in 2007 ( Matter ), praised by the public, the criticism for it will be more nuanced due to a somewhat weak production, which will not prevent them from shooting in Spain, Portugal or Brazil, with Amon Amarth among others. The year 2009 is for them a pivotal year, which allows them to refine their style, sort of black metal fused with progressive metal with hints of death and fusion. In 2010, they released an EP ( 3:11 ) this time unanimously hailed by the critics and the public who highlight this particular style really fresh and original. Moonspell then offers them to play their first games during their passages in Spain and Portugal. In November 2012, the band welcomed a new bass player and keyboard player and released Mantiis , a 45-minute concept album made up of a single track cut into 14 tracks, a veritable collection of very different emotions and styles, confirming the emergence of their style, and were offered the first part of Cult Of Luna for their tour of Vertikal in Madrid and Barcelona.
