Oliva

The floridian singer/multi-instrumentalist/composer Jon Oliva is best known for Savatage, which he co-founded with his brother (Criss Oliva, who died in 1993). He was also part of the brief Doctor Butcher (1994) adventure, and became one of the pillars of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra orchestral project from 1996. Savatage became inactive for TSO shortly after his 2001 album, Oliva launched his band Jon Oliva's Pain with which he recorded four albums until the death of his guitarist in 2011. Subsequently, he started a solo project under the simple name of Oliva , for which he released a single album, Raise The Curtain in 2013.
