Omnia
Biography
Omnia began her adventure in 1996 with Steve "Sic" Evans (voice, bouzouki, flutes, drums) and Louis "Luka" Aubri - Krieger (didgeridoo, voice, bagpipe) in Utrecht, Netherlands. It will take them four years to release what will be their first album, Sine Missione, and reissued 2 years later under the Emmuty Records label. Also in 2010, the duo released a second effort, entitled Beltaine. The same year as this re-release of Sine Missione, Jennifer "Jenny" Van der Harten returned to the band to lend her voice but also her talents as a Celtic harp, old wheeled, bodhrán and piano. The training comes out in 2003 EP 3 under Zap Prod. It is under the same label that the album appeared in 2004 that is beginning to make a serious talk about them, Crone of War, a mixture of Celtic music and Pagan Folk. Joe Hennon ( Shantalla ) participates in guitar on some songs as a guest but ends up formalizing his integration into the band later. The first live album was released in the same year, with some of their Faun friends in company. They took two years to compose the album of their consecration, Pagan Folk, under the label Banshee Records. In 2007, a remix EP (Cybershaman) of Omnia songs by various Psytrance artists was released, followed by a new album, Alive! with a new member, Michel "Mich" Rozek, under their independent label, Pagan Scum Records. Also in 2007 is a compilation History (Noir Records), a physical release only in the United States. A second live album released in 2008, PaganFolk At The Fairy Ball, along with the DVD Pagan Folk Lore. In June 2009 Michel "Mich" Rozek left the band to join the Belgian band called IliantA , shortly before the release of the new album World Of Omnia. The percussions are recovered by drummer Tom Spaan. 2010, Wolf Love was released and one of the founders of Omnia, Luka, preferred to leave the band to join IliantA. Joe Hennon after leaving Omnia due to a very busy job (European Commission of Brussels), he was replaced for some time by Joost "Yoast" van Es but Philip Steenbergen ended up joining the band, as guitarist, instead of Joe. The line-up is somewhat disturbed again in 2011 with the arrival of Daphyd "Crow" Sens au didgeridoo and the departure of drummer Tom Spaan. Maral (voix, guimbarde, additional percussion) occupies the percussion until he produces the double album Musick And Poëtree before letting Rob "Raido" van Barschot become the band's official drummer. Live on Earth appeared in 2012 and traces the last 15 years of Omnia. In 2013 it was Philip Steenbergen's turn to stop the adventure. Finally, in 2014, the band was joined by Satria "Saat" Karsono on guitar and composed the 8th studio album, Earth Warrior. Banshee Records released the following album, Naked Harp the following year. In 2016 Omnia returned with the album Prayer.
