Biography

Nate Shumaker: Song/Guitare Derek Mabra: Guitar Kristen Antolik: Cello Tom Korkidis: Bass/Clavier Mike Ushinski: Battery
Spring/Summer 2003, Boston: The Burning Paris begins writing a new effort. Unfortunately, differences of opinion lead to a friendly separation of the group members. Three of these members, Nate Shumaker, Josh Megyesy (Guitare), and Jen Townsend (Violoncelle) are building a new project. Two additional members, Mike and Tom, joined them as their initial training moved from Boston to New York. The quintet starts to compose new songs during the summer, to publish their first opus via Magic Bullet Records : This Time It Is Forever . A blow, Jen Townsend left the combo to continue his teaching career. It will then be replaced by Dana Feder, which has a classically oriented musical color. By mid-2005, On Fire was not doing well, having hardly played for nearly five months, the team saw the departure of two of its members, Dana and Josh. A summer break remotivates the group, about to separate; The latter recruits Derek Mabra, and sees his first EP reissue in Japan via Waver Waver ( Drum:kan ). Concert dates are planned, notably on November 20 with Kayo Dot, and On Fire is finally preparing to record an album at the end of the year, with a new cellist in post, Mademoiselle Kristen Antolik.
