Biography

Founded in the mid-1990s under the impulse of two 14-year-old friends Pierre Pethe (alias Clevdh) and Frédéric Gervais (alias Achernar), it was only in 2002 with the self-produced EP.Ineffable émoi that Orakle laid the foundations of his music: an epic black metal, rich, built on contrasts and atmospheres, and texts exclusively in French. In 2005, the first album Uni aux cimes focused on intensity, revealing Orakle in its most crude and extreme light. Three years later, the band signed with Holy Records and released a second album that was particularly well received by critics: T&Perdition and its black metal sought after, progressive and demanding. With a growing audience, Orakle performed on numerous dates and festivals, including Hellfest in 2009. At the end of 2009, the band deliberately skewed the stage, looking for a different aesthetic and bolder creative forms for its next album.
2015, Orakle signed with Apathia Records and released Éclats . Five years of work will have been needed to complete this 3rd album, where the extreme and sophisticated metal of the beginnings comes alongside a more tortuous and experimental metal, but also a progressive rock with almost pop accents.
