Oranssi Pazuzu
Biography
Oranssi Pazuzu is a Black Metal Psychedelic group formed in 2007 in Finland by a quintet made up of Ontto (Basse), Krojak (Battery), Moit (Guitare), Evil (Claviers / Percussions) and Jun-His (Guitare / Chant). Adopting a very different posture from the other Black-Metal groups, Oranssi Pazuzu chooses the voice of psychedelism both in their experimental musical approach and in the words that evoke the relationship between man and the universe. This comes among other things from the leader Jun-His, former member of the Space-Rock group, Kuolleet Intiaanit . Their first and surprising album Muukalainen Puhuu was released in 2009 and made talk about him. After a split with Candy Cane in 2010, a follow-up was given in 2011, named Kosmonument, but it was with their third album Värähtelijä , which was released in 2016, that the Finnish band changed its size. Critical success is then unanimous. 2017 is marked by the release of an EP titled Kevät / Värimyrsky . The latter explores the most Post facets of the band. In 2018, they teamed up with Dark Buddha Rising, a band straight from Tampere like them, under the name of Waste Of Space Orchestra for an exceptional concert at Roadburn, followed by a studio release of this piece. In 2020, they signed with Nuclear Blast Records and released Mestarin Kynsi, which will be a great success.
