Biography
Mike Arney - Daniel Sant guitar - Tommy Anthony singing - Adam Meehan drums - Aaron Cooley bass - guitar
It was during a spring 2000 evening when they deplored the cruel lack of straight-Edge bands on the US hardcore scene that Daniel Sant and Aaron Cooley decided to found Over My Dead Body.
Daniel then asked his boyfriend Rob Moran (Ex-Unbroken ) to hold the bass. In his Basques, he brings back a newly landed guy to San Diego, Tommy Anthony, former drummer of 4 Walls Falling. The formation became quintet when Scott Lopian joined the band with the functions of second guitarist. It's this line-up that records a 4-track demo and starts shooting.
2001 is a busy year for Over My Dead Body. On the recording of the first ep No Runners , succeeds a tour of the East Coast and the release of the first real album, Rusty Medals and Broken Badges on the label Indecision Records. This is the moment Scott Lopian chose to take his reverence. Following Dave Kennedy's acting move from Over My Dead Body to Boxcar Racer , Daniel and Aaron offered Mike Arnie the second guitarist position, then roadie and merchandising manager.
After recording a split ep with Death Threat , followed by a US tour with Count Me Out , Terror and Death Threat , Adam Meehan replaces Rob Moran.
