
Ozzy Osbourne
Biography
John Michael Osbourne, better known as Ozzy Osbourne , is one of the legends of rock music. He really started his career in the early 1970s with Black Sabbath , pioneers of heavy metal, and marked by his quite recognizable voice stamp. Dismissed from the band in 1979 by his drug and alcohol abuse, he returned to music with Blizzard Of Ozz and Diary Of A Madman , containing several tubes from his solo career. These albums are marked by the guitar game of young Randy Rhoads ( Quiet Riot ), who died in a plane accident at only 25 years old (a tribute will be paid to him on live Randy Rhoads Tribute ). Ozzy, however, continues to track the albums: Speak Of The Devil, Bark At The Moon and The Ultimate Sin. Ozzy then hired the young guitarist Zakk Wylde (future Black Label Society), who has remained his favourite guitarist since the album No Rest For The Wicked, and who also scored with his impressive game. In 1991 No More Tears , one of the best albums of Ozzy , some of which were co-written with Lemmy Kilmister ( Motörhead ) , was followed by a huge tour, immortalized by Live & Loud . S Since 1996, Ozzy and his wife Sharon have organized the Ozzfest, a huge travelling festival in the United States, or have followed a multitude of metal bands, including some big names (Pantera , Judas Priest , Slayer ...). The "Mad Man" is one of its flagship icons. After a hollow period without a real album since 2001, Ozzy's new opus is announced for May 2007 and has the title Black Rain .
