Pain Of Salvation
Biography
Pain Of Salvation was created in 1991 by Daniel Gildenlöw on the ashes of Reality. The first album, Entropia, was released in 1997, followed by One Hour By The Concrete Lake on the major progressive label Inside Out Music. The music played by the band is both technical and full of emotions, influenced as much by the progressive groove rock of the 1970s as by Dream Theater, forming an atypical, complex and coherent ensemble. In 2000, The Perfect Element Part I; It is like all the releases of the group of a concept-album, built here around the existence and relationship between two fragile and touching teenagers. It is followed by Remedy Lane , a more personal album by Monsieur Gildenglow (who composes almost all the music and writes the lyrics) about the suffering of love, and BE , orchestral album and more experimental, about the relationship of Man vis à vis de Dieu. These three albums are considered timeless masterpieces by the public and critics. Scarsick's release in 2007 marked the end of an era and a period of trouble; Kristopher Gildenglow Daniel's brother left bass and was replaced by Simon Andersson. Johan Langell left the drums after the tour, replaced by the Frenchman Léo Margarit. The DVD live Ending Themes and followed by the ep Linoleum and the Road Salt Part 1, which marked a turning point towards music more influenced by the Blues Rock of the 70s.
