Biography

Palms formed in Los Angeles in 2011, after the split of Isis , with a dream line-up: Chino Moreno de Deftones singing with three ex-members, extirpated from the famous post metal quintet: Jeff Caxide (Basse), Aaron Harris (Battery) and Bryant Clifford Meyer (Guitare). Chino Moreno, Isis' absolute fan, joined Palms after the three raised decided to continue together. Their first eponymous album was released on June 25, 2013 by Ipecac Recordings (the label of Mike Patton ( Faith No More , Mr. Bungle ), which released a number of albums, lives and reissues of Isis ) in a rather atmospheric, ambient and Post-Rock vein. In July 2013, Palms played four concerts in California for the release of the album. An Antarctic Handshake remix follows in May 2004. In 2023, they released two b-sides of the record: Opening Titles and End Credits. A reissue with both tracks is scheduled for September 22nd at Ipecac Recordings to celebrate the ten years of the album.
