Pantheon I
Biography
Norwegian group formed in Oslo in 2002, Pantheon I brings together musicians from such groups as 1349 (Andre Kvebek), Koldbrann and Vidsyn. Desirous of creating both extreme and melancholic music, the band combines its two facets in black metal compositions rich in atmospheres and melodies. With the release of a first promotional demo in 2003, then of a two vinyl titles in early 2004, the band receives a good critical welcome and capitalizes on this success to record its first album mid-2004 (for a release finally early 2006), Atrocity Divine, more vivid than its previous composition. For the occasion, the original trio joined the services of a bassist, violinist and cellist who allowed him to establish his identity. Driven to record a promotional demo of four titles to get more concerts, the band should finally enter into a lasting contract with Candlelight Records for its next releases. Recorded in September 2006 for a release scheduled for spring 2007, his second album, The Wanderer & His Shadow , displays in any case more mastery and very beautiful qualities.
